Welcome to EmethCRC !

Transcription factor (TF), as sequence-specific DNA-binding proteins, act typically through cis-regulatory elements (such as enhancer and promoter) to coordinate the transcription of target genes. Some core TFs driven enhancers by form interconnected feed-forward transcriptional circuitry dominating cell-type-specific gene-expression program. The core TFs and their interconnected auto-regulatory loops have been termed ‘core transcription regulatory circuitry??? (CRC). Herein, we identified cancer-specific CRCs driven by enhancer methylation (emCRCs) based on a computational framework. Subsequentlly, potential downstream genes and clinically actionable TFs were curated in the database.
